The War in Ukraine: A Call to Prayer, Fasting, and Action

The war in Ukraine continues to rage on with no end in sight. Thousands of innocent people have lost their lives and millions more on the move as refuges in search of safety, food, shelter, clothing and medicine. It will be winter soon and hundreds of people will not be able to heat their homes.

Ukraine and its people are in crisis.  Recently, Archbishop Dunn received a pastoral letter from the Ukrainian Catholic Bishops in Canada.  In the letter they invite all people of goodwill to renew their attention to the plight of the people of Ukraine in an effort to continue to “Stand with Ukraine.”  They are calling for all to the clergy, religious and faithful of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada and all good people to renew our efforts to pray, fast, and act.

Let us pray for the intercession of Saint Josephat, patron saint of Ukraine!
