Adult Faith Formation

St. Monica’s Catholic Women’s League in the valley will host a Women’s Retreat from May 17-19. They extend a heartfelt invitation to all women throughout the Archdiocese to attend.  Fr. Dominic Sultana, International Retreat Leader, who is currently on internship at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dartmouth,  will be the facilitator.  

In the routine and bustle of daily life, finding moments for spiritual renewal is essential, yet often overlooked.  During this retreat, you will have the opportunity to pause, reflect, and explore deeper meanings at as together we each focus on “finding my life’s purpose".  This special gathering is for women of all ages, as we seek to nurture our spiritual growth and to discern our unique purpose as it is evolving in the different stages and circumstances of our lives.  It will take place at St. Monica's church hall in Middleton, Annapolis Valley on Friday, May 17, 6:00 - 8:00 pm; Saturday, May 18, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (followed by opportunity for Sacrament of Confession); and Sunday, May 19, 9:00 am - Noon, including Mass.  The retreat is free and includes lunch and refreshments.   To help us plan well, please register by contacting Mary Crooks at 902-825-6495 or This email address is being protected from spambots. The Atlantic School of Theology (AST) has launched the Diploma In Missional Leadership.

The Diploma in Missional Leadership focuses on educational content and strengthening practical leadership skills that engage a changed and changing world and Church. Together with other learners and ministry practitioners across Canada and beyond, you will form a supportive learning group who will take the courses together.

The Anglican-Roman Catholic Dialogue of Canada (ARC) Presents a Panel conversation: “Ecumenical Formation: How do Church and Academy Walk Together?” on October 4 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the St. Columba Chapel on the campus of the Atlantic School of Theology.

Save the Date: 2023 Assembly of the People of God

The 2023 Assembly of the People of God will be on Saturday, November 4. The Archbishop invites all the faithful to join him for a day to pray together, learn more deeply about our mission to proclaim Christ, and come together as a whole diocese. This day long event will feature guest speakers, breakout sessions, and time to pray together.
