Veritas Closes September 30
Veritas Catholic Books and Gifts is still open for business! The official store closing date is still Sept 30th unless otherwise notified. Keep an eye on the Veritas store window located at Farnham Gate Mall for any changes. As of September 1st, all retail items, excluding Church supplies, are now 70% off.
Veritas would like to thank all the churches and faithful for their tremendous support, especially now as we go through this difficult transition. God Bless!

The Canadian Confrence of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has a newly established CCCB Service for Migrant and Refugee Ministry (Human Mobility). This new national initiative will aim to strengthen the Canadian Catholic Church’s pastoral response to migrants, refugees, and other people affected by human mobility across the country. The CCCB is seeking a National Coordinator to lead the Service during its three-year pilot and establish a national network supporting dioceses and eparchies. News Service Summer Schedule
Please note the Halifax-Yarmouth News Service (HYNS), sent directly to inboxes of all subscribers weekly on Tuesdays, will shift to a summer schedule for the next two months.
During the summer, the HYNS will be published twice: July 14 and August 11.
The news service will resume its weekly schedule in September.
The Board of Directors of local Catholic bookstore, Veritas, sadly announces it will have to close at the end of September 2026. The store has proved Catholic books, gifts, and other liturgical supplies to the faithful in the local area for over 31 years. The announcement from the Board is below:
