ETWN Coverage of the Passing of Pope Francis

Cannonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis Postponed

In light of the passing of Pope Francis the Vatican has postponed the canonization of Blessed Carlo that was scheduled to happen on April 27 during the Jubilee of Teenagers. As a result the originally scheduled local celebration of the canonization on April 26 is also postponed. Thus the 12:15 Mass on Saturday, at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica will be a regular daily Mass.

As we prepare for Holy Week across the Archdiocese we offer the Holy Week and Easter schedule of liturgies for Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Halifax as well as Saint Ambrose Co-Cathedral in Yarmouth.
