Special Appeal for Caritas Venezuela

Development and Peace - Caritas Canada is making a special appeal for Caritas Venezuela in response to the devastating earthquakes that struck their country. Over 1400 people have died, tens of thousands more are missing, thousands have been injured, and tens of thousands have been displaced.

After praying the Angelus on June 28, Pope Leo prayed for the people in Venezuela: “Praying to the Lord for the eternal rest of the deceased, I renew my spiritual solidarity with their families, the injured, and all who have been shaken by this tragedy.” Please click on the link below for more information on how to help.
