This year, Divine Mercy Parish is celebrating a significant milestone: the 100th Anniversary of the official opening of St. Andrew Church in Eastern Passage in 1926. Since 1850 (176 years) the presence of St. Andrew Church and congregation has been a cornerstone of the Eastern Passage-Cow Bay community, providing a place of worship, fellowship, celebration, support, and a variety of outreach programs. As we reflect on our history, we recognize that the dedication of former parishioners, clergy, and religious, played a significant role in shaping the former parish of St. Andrew, now Divine Mercy Parish. Divine Mercy Parish invites all to join us for Holy Mass at St. Andrew Church on one or all of these dates:
- August 6, 2026 (Thursday) at 6:30pm, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the official opening of the church, with Archbishop Brian Dunn as celebrant;
- August 29, 2026 (Saturday) at 4:00pm, to celebrate the Blessing of Cornerstone, with Archbishop Emeritus Martin Currie as celebrant;
- December 9, 2026 (Wednesday) at 7:00pm to celebrate the Anniversary of Solemn Blessing and Official Opening.
