This Sunday Archbishop Dunn will join the parish community of All Saints Parish in Cumberland county as they have final Mass and closing of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Joggins on June 28, 2026. The Mass will be at 3:00pm.
St. Thomas Aquinas has served the faithful of Joggins and surrounding area for 132 years. Over the years it has hosted many special events such as the annual Labor Day picnic and Remembrance Day services in addition to weddings, baptisms, First Communions and Confirmations.
At this special Mass, Archbishop Dunn will also present an Archdiocese Medal of Merit to Richard Belliveau. Mr. Belliveau served in a number of ministries at the church and the whole parish over many years. He has been a long time faithful parishioner whose active participation in the life of St. Thomas Aquinas Church was a witness of faith to all.
All are welcome to attend the final Mass and to join in a time of fellowship with refreshments at the Joggins Legion, 12 School Street, Joggins following the closure. Please keep the parishioners of Joggins, past and present, in your prayers.
